Today's word is baĵane.  Baĵane means "butterfly" and is formed from the verb "baĵane", which means "it folds".  This word is one of the rare nominalized conjugated verbs (along with bajeta and bale and a handful of others) which generally refer to insect and animal life.  The stress pattern is BA-ĵa-ne.

Our example sentence for today is Srîtnia pa jémén baĵanebin otaŵraug also.

A breakdown of this sentence is as follows:

Srîtnia pa jémén baĵanebin otaŵraug also.
Time-uncertain in trees butterflies(acc) sugg-we-behold we.
At times one ought to look at butterflies in the woods.
OR
We should sometimes look at butterflies in the woods.

Rebooting the Word of the Day blog!

It'll be something less "word of the day" and rather more "word of the now", but I plan to hopefully begin updating this little blog again.  In accordance with the change in frequency of posts to this blog, I've changed the name (and the link) from "Ostoné jémohni", "today's word", to  "Ostonén uxméein", "words shown/displayed".

As the language has changed (not much, but enough that some of the older examples were feeling and looking stilted and silly), I have reverted these to drafts and will perhaps re-do them when time allows, or as I feel like it.

Hopefully I'll be able to do proper visual examples and audio samples for these words!
